| Bayou Haystackers Paddling Calendar |
|
This calendar lists events that may be of interest to paddlers in the Louisiana and Mississippi area (and to a limited extent - Texas, Alabama and Florida). Not all events are BHPC events. Events listed in Green Regular type are BHPC. Events listed in Italics are non-BHPC. (Read Disclaimer) Before attending a BHPC trip, you should contact the individual Trip Coordinator (well in advance of the trip) for more specifics and to make sure the trip or event is still scheduled, etc. Trip leaders will be able to give you recommendations as to what kind of boat is suitable (canoe, rec. kayak, sea kayak, etc.) and skill level required. BHPC sponsored trips are free to BHPC and ACA members. Non-member guests are welcome to come on trips, however, there is a $10.00 club liability insurance fee. Please refer to the bottom of this page for information on trip ratings. Attending a BHPC trip means discussing pertinent medical conditions, in advance, with the Trip Coordinator; wearing a PFD (life vest); not consuming alcohol before or while on the water; agreeing to and signing the Club's Waiver and Release of Liability. Please read the Outings Policy. This is a test to see how this calendar works out. BHPC trips are shown in dark green and in CAPITAL letters. To view trip details click on the event. For more details click on the 'More Details' link that you will see after clicking on the event. There is also a link to a location map. To view only BHPC trips click on the little down arrow on the upper right corner of the calendar and de-select "Non-BHPC". Please check back - Event Info is added as soon as I get it. If you would like to list an event that would be of interest to the paddling community, please send the information (in 25 words or less) to newsletter@bayouhaystacters.com Trip Submissions Call Robb Wiltse at 985-892-3436 or e-mail leadscout@bayouhaystackers.com to VOLUNTEER to lead a trip for the club.
