This calendar lists events that may be of interest to paddlers in the area. Not all events are BHPC events. Events listed in regular, green type are BHPC. Events listed in Italics are non-BHPC. (Read Disclaimer)
Before attending a BHPC trip, you should contact the individual Trip Coordinator (well in advance of the trip) for more specifics and to make sure the trip or event is still scheduled, etc. BHPC sponsored trips are free to BHPC and ACA members. Non-member guests are welcome to come on trips, however, there is a $10.00 club liability insurance fee.

Attending a BHPC trip means discussing pertinent medical conditions, in advance, with the Trip Coordinator; wearing a PFD (life vest); not consuming alcohol before or while on the water; agreeing to and signing the Club's Waiver and Release of Liability. (Please see the website for the waiver)

Read the Outings Policy

You need your ACA number when you go on a trip, the new waiver form has a place for it. Your number is on your ACA membership card and also on the mailing label of Paddler Magazine.

Sunday, February 28: Colyell Bay. Easy. Colyell Bay is just east of Port Vincent, LA. in Livingston Parish. There are some gnarled old cypress trees on the way to the Amite R. It'll be a  2-4 hour paddle.  It's not a place that's easy to get out of your boat but it is an enjoyable winter paddle.
